This is the essential 'Kikuyose (Nicking) for crafting leather goods.
Its substantial thickness provides a secure grip and satisfying weight.

This leather-sheathed knife is made from Yasuki Hagane steel, which is renowned as the oldest and most distinguished Japanese steel.
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted by our blacksmiths.
The handle is made of dense, striped ebony that has been specially treated to efficiently transfer force to the blade tip.
Available in right-handed and left-handed versions.

After gaining experience at a leather bag and accessory manufacturer, he became an independent sample craftsman, receiving sample production requests from multiple manufacturers.
Currently based in Kuramae, Tokyo, he dedicates himself to sample production, production guidance, and training leather artisans, while also running his own leather brand, PRO-MENER.
Leveraging his skills, knowledge, and experience as a sample craftsman, he provides meticulous, personalised guidance to each individual.

I'd owned the books for some time, but hesitated to try them as they seemed rather challenging. Upon discovering video tutorials were available, I promptly purchased them and gave the craft a go. Atelier K.I. runs a school where you can learn to create leather accessories such as wallets, bags and purses using a sewing machine in Kuramae, Tokyo.
Classes start from the very basics.
Our students include many aspiring artisans, as well as those who are already working as craftsmen.
